I finished the Hey Diddle, Diddle set yesterday, and I LOVE IT! I can't wait to use it with my Kindergarten groups this year. It has everything I try to introduce my Kinders to in the beginning of the year: rhyme, fist sound, tracking print, sequencing, retell, segmenting, blending scripted phonemic awareness lessons and so much more. I wish I had this set 10 years ago!
You can get it HERE
***Just added thanks to some great feedback: Pocket chart words and pictures and vocabulary with pictures.***
I am working on making this same sort of set with some varying activities for NINE other Nursery Rhymes. There are enough activities in one set to fill up an entire day. You could do one set a day for the first nine days of school, or do one set a week for the first nine weeks. However you want to roll it out, it is a great way to start your year! I have the bundle ready in my store as well if you know that you want all the Nursery Rhymes:
All Nursery Rhymes will be uploaded by August 1st. I did not give specific days for each one, because what if the day I posted is beautiful out and I want to go to the beach instead. :) If we have a string of rainy days they may get posted faster...but I promise all will be posted by August 1st. Hey, it is summer after all! You can grab the bundle this weekend for just $5.00. After the weekend it will go up to $10.00.

I want to share another one of my VERY favorite Nursery Rhyme products you might want. This CD by Dr. Jean is amazing! I made each student a booklet of Nursery Rhymes in the order of her CD. We warmed up almost everyday listening and reading along with this CD. It was bliss.
Check out the rest of my Teachers Pay Teachers Store HERE everything is on SALE for the weekend!
Whew. That's a lot of info. I hope you enjoy it! Have a wonderful Holiday Weekend!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis product looks great! I'm always shocked at the amount of kiddos I have in first grade who do not know Nursery Rhymes! Hope you have a great holiday weekend!
